Servant's Heart Home Health Services

About Us

Servant's Heart Services was started on July 1, 2005 by Tom and Jo Nelson in Logansport, Indiana. We have grown to have over 35 employees and have offices in Logansport and Kokomo, serving 14 surrounding counties. We provide nursing services, home health aides, physical therapy, medical social work, and other services in the comfort of your home.

Mission Statement

Servant's Heart Home Health Services, Inc. is dedicated to providing the most exceptional home care available to the community. We consider each client to be a sacred trust, and we are committed to treating each one with dignity, respect, and Christian compassion while promoting their comfort and health at home.

Core Values

We will tell the truth at all times and we will honor our word. We will make every effort to live up to core values and commitments.

We vow to always keep the needs and desires of clients first and foremost in our plans, actions and decisions. We will set a standard of excellence and daily strive to attain it. We will continually look for methods to improve our services. We will admit our mistakes and adjust so that we will not repeat them. We will keep our hearts humble and open in order to promote an ever-improving and growing atmosphere for our company.

Servant Attitude
We will serve with humility, compassion, patience, longsuffering, and professionalism. We will strive to demonstrate the love of Christ to all we touch each day. We will be dependable and trustworthy towards our clients and co-workers alike. Supervisors will serve their associates with encouragement, honesty, and affection to create security through a positive culture. We will offer truthful, constructive evaluations to enable our staff to grow professionally and personally whenever possible.

We commit to being a stable and dedicated resource to the community, offering assistance and counsel whenever possible to those in need. We promise to keep the community's best interests at heart, and to offer support and comfort at every opportunity.

We are dedicated to providing comfort and caring to those who are nearing the end of life, and those who are suffering from serious illness and disease. We will work in the spirit of teamwork and cooperation, side by side, with local hospice organizations to ease the burden of those who are suffering by providing palliative care. When the situation dictates, we will also ease the transition from home health care to hospice care, with an emphasis on spiritual and emotional needs as well as relieving physical symptoms.

About the Owners

Tom is a native of Logansport, and has owned his own remodeling business there for many years. He is also very gifted musically and plays guitar, saxophone, and enjoys singing. He has been involved with leading worship for many years, and also played the part of Jesus in the Civic Player's production of Jesus Christ Superstar in October of 2003. He has always been deeply concerned for the welfare of other people in the community, and is very excited about this opportunity to provide compassionate services to those in need.

Tom and Jo have been married for over 30 years, and have based their entire lives on faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. They have raised 6 children - Tobey, John, Brandy, Sarah, Ashley, and Matt - and have many grandchildren.
